My new favorite smart phone app is “Shoebox” a.k.a 1000 Memories. It’s an app where you can scan photographs with your phones camera and they will be uploaded into the shoebox of your choice into your 1000 Memories page. I like 1000 Memories because I can keep thhe shoeboxes private and just share those with certain individuals or I can share them with the public. I also like that pictures can be imported from FaceBook, Instagram, and Flickr. I learned that if you have multiple Flickr accounts with pictures to logout of 1000 Memories and the log back in and you can switch to a different Flickr account. I would greatly appreciate if they would set up to import from Myspace, Photobucket, and Google +.
I scanned these pictures with the app. They are Ross Glenn RICKER and Pearl Martha JOHNSON RICKER. The photos were dated on the back February 1965. These photos were hanging above their son’s Donald Merton RICKER’s couch. He passed away in December 2012.
Ross was born October 1, 1898 in Indiana and died March 31, 1986. His parents were William O. RICKER and Fannie WAINSCOTT. Ross married Pearl Marth JOHNSON. Pearl was born November 23, 1899 and died October 10, 1977. Pearl’s parents were Andrew Franklin JOHNSON and Mary Ann GOOD. Ross and Pearl had 4 children: Virginia, Mary, Donald, and Julia. They lived in Clinton County, Indiana.
