Sport Center Saturday ~ Roy Eugene TRENT

My great grandpa Roy Eugene TRENT was a Southpaw pitcher in baseball. He played for the Wheatland Reds who was managed by his future father-in-law, Weaver STAFFORD. His brother Glenn TRENT and future brother-in-law Paul STAFFORD were also on the team. He also attended a training camp for the Indianapolis Indians farmers league and St. Louis Cardinals. In 1936, he went to Union City, Tennessee to play in the Kitty League.

Roy TRENT is center on the top row.

  1. How exciting that you have found these articles and photos! Great picture of the team — smiles all around. We don’t have any baseball players in our family tree, but my husband would certainly like to be a member of the Red Sox in his next life. : ))

    • Thanks. Several years ago my mom and I went and found theses articles and put together a binder for my great grandma about her husband and father. It was a present she cherished until she passed.
